Dear Friends, Families, and Educators, I am so excited about the upcoming festival and camp this summer. There has been a great deal of hard work put in by the administration to put together the best possible experience for the students who will be attending. There has been a need for a camp close to home that will give students the opportunity to see just how good they can be, to push their potential to new heights.
When we first sat down to plan the summer festival our goal was simple; put together a camp that would prepare students for college. The repertoire that is planned in orchestra and chamber music will be tremendous additions to anyone’s repertoire list. You will study with faculty that teaches at many of the major colleges and conservatories in the tri-state area. Instead of having to drive all around and schedule lessons with different teachers all over the area you can get an idea of who you would like to study with by just attending our camp.
We have been helped greatly by
Peter Winograd of the American String Quartet to put together a faculty that not only are great teachers but are also the best performers in the NY/NJ area. Our faculty is already planning great
events like master classes, recitals, and their own chamber performances throughout the three weeks. Students will have private lessons and coaching daily with our faculty.
Please look through our web site and e-mail
info@gardenstatemusicfestival.com with any questions you have. We continue to update the
site with new faculty and upcoming performance information. We have recently added bass teacher Linda McKnight from Manhattan School of Music to our faculty. We will continue to add high level teachers for every instrument in the next month. I am looking forward to an exciting summer.
